Strategic Support for Biotech SMEs: Marketing, Fundraising, and Market Access

In a B2B environment undergoing rapid technological and regulatory change, biotech SMEs face specific challenges: long innovation cycles, a need for ongoing funding, strict scientific and regulatory compliance, and the need to win over demanding stakeholders. Maia Consulting supports these high-potential companies by providing targeted marketing expertise and practical solutions to accelerate their growth.

Our support is built around key drivers: clear and credible strategic positioning, scientific communication based on validated results (publications, trials, clinical evidence), and a structured market access strategy (pre-commercialization, investor outreach, and digitization of awareness-raising initiatives).

Our consultants specializing in biotech digital marketing also address cross-functional priorities for B2B SMEs: investor pitches, marketing automation for complex sales cycles, the creation of accessible yet accurate content, and the alignment of marketing and business development teams. Maia Consulting thus helps biotech companies strengthen their visibility, engage the right influencers, and generate qualified leads in a competitive environment.

Our mission: to provide biotech SMEs with a customized, sustainable, and results-oriented strategy to transform their innovations into tangible and sustainable growth in the most promising markets.

Denis Dufrane

A pioneer in regenerative medicine, Denis Dufrane is the CEO and founder of Novadip Biosciences, a Belgian biotech company at the forefront of 3D therapies for bone and skin regeneration. With a career at the intersection of translational research and entrepreneurship, he has transformed discoveries in stem cell and tissue engineering into innovative clinical solutions, particularly for severe burns and complex bone defects.

With a Ph.D. in cell transplantation (UCLouvain), he co-founded Novadip in 2013 after years of research into regeneration mechanisms. Under his leadership, the company has raised more than €50 million (including a Series B round in 2021) and developed a patented platform combining stem cells and biomaterials for ready-to-use grafts.
Recognized for the industrial-scale production of advanced cell therapies (ATMPs) in compliance with GMP standards, using a data-driven approach to optimize clinical efficacy. The company is a leader in the European biotech ecosystem (through partnerships with hospitals, CROs, and investors).
Passionate about the real-world impact of science, he advocates for accessible and scalable regenerative medicine.

Pierre-François Migeotte

As a physicist (PhD) turned entrepreneur, I founded and led HeartKinetics, a MedTech spin-off specializing in cardiac telemonitoring, from the initial idea through clinical trials and international partnerships. The result: over €4 million raised, a connected solution validated by the Mayo Clinic, and a journey at the heart of medical innovation.
Since then, I’ve been supporting high-potential projects in health technology: proof of concept, market access strategy, fundraising, regulatory filings, and investor pitches. My motto: turning science into impact—no bullshit, but with method, networking, and commitment.
I’m joining the Life Sciences Committee to share this hands-on experience and help entrepreneurs gain momentum, credibility, and tangible results.
